Web-Enabled Human Resources
The ubiquity of the Internet and the widespread deployment of Intranets have created some compelling opportunities for human resources. The ability to use these technologies in human resources functions has improved HR productivity, increased service to the employees and reduced the cost of providing the function when Web-enabled. We will discuss how organizations are Web-enabling benefits administration; using the Web to deliver training; posting jobs; managing resources and recruiting on the Web. We will also look at the pros and cons of outsourcing these Web-enabled functions.
IT Human Resources Measurements
This is an old adage that says, If you cant measure it, you cant manage it. Measuring the IT HR function has been a challenge for many organizations. How have organizations been successful in measuring this function? What are the meaningful metrics to look at and how do you collect the data? What an appropriate way to measure the effective of HR initiatives? We will discuss these issues and look at how HR organizations have been successful in aligning their objectives with those of the IT organization and the business. Additionally, well discuss what performance management measurements are being used by organizations and what the metrics are telling us.
These discussion topics will be led by practitioners from organizations that are addressing these issues. The format is highly interactive and all viewpoints and opinions are heard and considered. Frequently these discussion shed new light on existing initiatives and spawn ideas for innovative approaches to evolving challenges. We look forward to having you join us at this
