Transitioning Through Organizational and Cultural Change
Mon Feb 24, 2003 - Tue Feb 25, 2003
Needless to say, most organizations today are either preparing for change or engaged in some
type of change process. While there are similarities in how to lead and respond to change, the
goals, strategies and tactics of change initiatives depend on the drivers for change, resources
and culture of the enterprise. HR practitioners shared their experiences around change
initiatives in the IT organizations brought on by new strategic directions, economic
uncertainties, industry restructuring and M&A activity.
Aligning HR with the Objectives of IT and the Business
Leading IT through major change initiatives requires that HR be aligned with the objectives
of IT and the business. Members described how they are aligning the objectives of
HR with those of the company, and how they are demonstrating this alignment by measuring
and communicating the value delivered to the organization.
