Ted Williams serves as Executive Director of The Information Management Forum (IMF). In 2001 he founded Global Information Partners, a benchmarking company dedicated to more meaningful IT comparisons than were, or are, available in the market. As Global grew with some great clients and a 100% repeat business rate (which it still maintains) Ted became familiar with the IMF.  The quantitative Global and the qualitative IMF were a perfect match as they shared the same values:  open information exchange, extreme objectivity and close client relationships.   In 2005 IMF and Global were combined under the umbrella of Information Companies, Inc. Ted works actively in day to management of both companies and is very involved with benchmarking activities and assisting members with decision support and guidance for all aspects of  IT.

Ted started with SBS an IBM company in Detroit after college and has been in IT for 25 (short) years. He is a frequent contributor to IT and business management publications and a regular presenter at industry forums, addressing a variety of topics related to IT value, best practices and performance improvement strategies. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Wittenberg University.
